Although hafanbooks.org may be a brand new addition to the internet, Hafan Books have actually been publishing bold and exciting voices since 2003. Founded by Tom Cheesman, Eric Ngalle and Sylvie Hoffman, Hafan seeks to empower writers of all walks of life, giving a voice to those who may otherwise have been silenced. Throughout the last 17 years, Hafan has published numerous volumes of poetry, memoirs and fiction, including the Refugees Writing in Wales series and the Boiled String Poetry Pamphlets. Now, however, Hafan is tackling the vast landscape of the internet.

My name is Lily. I’ve been working alongside Tom Cheesman, one of Hafan’s founders, to produce this website and create a presence for Hafan online. I’m a 21 year old English graduate and book blogger, and I’m very excited to bring you this website. There are a lot of exciting things happening at Hafan in the coming months, not least the launch of Rhea Seren Phillips’ explosive Grandiloquent Wretches this October.
